Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has strongly refuted false allegations made against her, accusing an unnamed political rival of orchestrating the smear campaign to damage her reputation. Ndeti warned that she would pursue legal action against those responsible for fabricating and circulating these claims on social media platforms. She further stated that if any harm befalls her family, the suspects behind the allegations would be held accountable.
Ndeti emphasized the baselessness of the accusations, pointing out that the perpetrators are ignorant of the strict scrutiny imposed by UK Customs, Border Control, and financial institutions. “Those fabricating falsities are clearly unaware of the robust nature of UK/Customs/Border control and financial institutions. I can confirm that my family and I are safe and sound and remain in good standing both at home and abroad,” she asserted.
The governor urged those spreading these malicious claims to be prepared with substantial evidence when the law intervenes. “I encourage those spewing these fabrications to arm themselves with hard evidence when the law comes knocking,” she added.
Ndeti described the allegations as not only false but also insulting to the intelligence of the people of Machakos and Kenya as a whole. She stressed that it is unrealistic and illogical to suggest that she could smuggle hundreds of millions of shillings, calling the claims absurd.
Despite the controversy, Ndeti remains focused on her commitment to improving the lives of the people of Machakos. She affirmed that these fabricated allegations would not distract her from working toward her goal of delivering better livelihoods for the county’s residents.
The governor’s message was clear: she stands resolute in her mission and is ready to fight any attempts to tarnish her name through falsehoods.
